Kyle Wyman
Kyle Wyman will return to Daytona International Speedway for the first time since his injury in October 2009 for competition in the AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 series. He will ride the No. 33 Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Racing/Revolution Performance machine in the Daytona debut for the class.
In 2009, during the AMA Pro SuperSport Shootout, Wyman lost his brakes in the infield of the speedway and suffered a tib/fib spiral fracture requiring a total of five surgeries, with a rod and nine screws inserted into the knee and lower leg.
“Last winter was a long one for me while recovering from the broken leg,” said Wyman, “This past winter was the best yet though. It was my first opportunity in a few years to have a 100% healthy off season where I could train and be prepared in time for Daytona. It’s a little weird going back there after such a freak accident, but being mentally and physically more prepared than ever...I can’t wait to get back out there.”
Wyman would also like to announce the signing of Sidi Boots for the 2011 season.
“With the rod in my tibia it’s more important than ever to make sure it’s protected,” said the New Yorker, “Re-breaking something like that would be a complete mess, and with Sidi Boots, I’m confident in my safety and that’s my top priority. They will keep all the hardware where it needs to be and take one more thing off my mind so I can concentrate on my riding. With Sidi, Arai Helmets, Pilot Leathers and Held USA gloves I feel as though I have the best protection package out there!”

RMR Bruce Rossmeyer Daytona Racing Revolution Performance has signed Chris Fillmore to race the AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 class. Fillmore will join Kyle Wyman and Michael Corbino on the team for the 2011 season.
The 24-year-old Fillmore is a promising young competitor who first earned success as a factory rider in Supermoto. After deciding to concentrate on road racing two years ago, Fillmore has competed in AMA Pro Daytona SportBike, with a best finish of fifth place taken last season.
The Oxford, Mich. native was the second fastest at the recent Daytona test on the RMR Bruce Rossmeyer Daytona Racing XR1200.
“We’re really happy to have Chris on our bike this year,” said team owner Richie Morris. “He has a lot of talent and is a very promising racer and impressed the team at the Daytona test. We took Danny Eslick’s advice. He thought Chris should be the guy. Chris has experience riding the larger bikes and we think that will help in this class.“
“I really appreciate the opportunity to ride for a championship winning team and look forward to the season,” said Fillmore. “I rode the bike at Daytona and I thought it was a blast. The handlebars and upright seating position seemed like home to me after racing Supermoto. As soon as I left the pits, I had a smile on my face and I really enjoyed the nature of the XR1200. Another thing I like about the class is the bikes are all similar, so it is very competitive and it comes down to the rider and team.”
